TWM solicitors appointed to government legal panel

TWM Solicitors has secured a place on the Government Commercial Agency’s Legal Panel for public sector support
TWM Solicitors, one of the largest independent legal practices in Surrey and the South East, has achieved a significant milestone by being appointed as a supplier on the Government Commercial Agency’s RM6374 Legal Panel for Public Sector framework, specifically through Lot 2: Focused Legal Support. This new role enables eligible public sector buyers in England and Wales to access TWM’s partner-led legal advice across a wide range of specialist areas. The firm’s approach focuses on clear communication, accessibility, and delivering practical advice for both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
The Government Commercial Agency (GCA), the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, is dedicated to connecting public and private sectors to enhance outcomes for the UK and its citizens. By leveraging its commercial expertise, GCA aims to simplify procurement processes, thereby redirecting valuable resources into essential public services and ultimately creating value for the nation.
Following a rigorous competitive procurement process, TWM’s tender was assessed against the published criteria for quality, social value, and pricing, leading to this prestigious award. David Powell, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial at TWM Solicitors points out that “being named as a supplier on the framework reflects the strength of the multidisciplinary expertise we can offer public sector buyers.” He adds that it illustrates the collaborative approach TWM takes, bringing together specialists from across the firm to address issues that may not fit neatly into a single category.
Through Lot 2: Focused Legal Support, TWM can assist public sector buyers in diverse areas such as corporate and commercial law, employment, property, real estate finance, dispute resolution, contracts, outsourcing, debt recovery, finance, and sustainable finance. With over 200 staff spread across its network of offices, TWM possesses the depth and capacity to provide continuous legal support on complex projects that require coordinated input from various legal disciplines.
David Powell stresses the importance of integrated legal advice in public sector projects, saying that “public sector projects often require joined-up legal advice across multiple areas.” He further explains that “our team structure enables us to tailor and scale our support to each client’s needs, combining the reach of a national firm with the responsiveness of a dedicated regional partner." This ability positions TWM Solicitors to serve the public sector effectively under the Government Commercial Agency’s legal framework.
