Noerr team successfully advises KAP AG

A Noerr team led by Andreas Naujoks and Patrick Geist has achieved a successful refinancing for KAP AG by extending their syndicated loan agreement for €96 million, supporting the company’s restructuring efforts and enhancing its financial stability
KAP AG, a mid-sized industrial holding company based in Fulda, operates in flexible films, engineered products, and surface technologies. The refinancing agreement, made on 17 April 2026, marked a crucial milestone in KAP AG’s ongoing restructuring process. Importantly, the drawdown of the syndicated loan will be contingent upon the implementation of specific measures outlined in the IDW S6 report.
This extension provides KAP AG a stable financial environment to systematically tackle the areas highlighted in the restructuring report and work towards long-term profitability improvement. “Noerr regularly assists clients with financial restructuring matters,” a spokesperson noted, reflecting the firm’s extensive experience in successfully managing similar projects. Notably, they recently provided counsel to lenders of Varta AG and the Ziegler Group, and also played a significant role in the restructuring financing of BayWa r.e. AG and the insolvency procedures for the Sprick Group.
The advisory team at Noerr comprised partners and associates with expertise in various critical areas, comprising Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Tax, and M&A. The legal firm's commitment to legal excellence, coupled with a deep understanding of industry-specific needs, positions them as an expert player in navigating complex and sizeable financial restructuring cases. With a robust global network, Noerr continues to cater to the needs of corporations, investors, governments, and start-ups facing intricate national and international projects.
