Clarion, a prominent national law firm, has announced the significant appointment of Maisie Huynh as a new Partner within its Family Law team. With over a decade of specialised experience in family and matrimonial law, Maisie is well-equipped to support high-net-worth individuals facing a variety of legal challenges throughout Yorkshire and beyond. Her previous role at Irwin Mitchell, where she dedicated more than 11 years, saw her developing a notable reputation for her adept handling of intricate financial matters that often emerge from divorce and relationship breakdowns.
Maisie's extensive experience primarily revolves around matrimonial finances and wealth preservation, and she has established a solid track record in navigating high-value financial disputes. Renowned for her strong technical skills and meticulous forensic approach, she has honed her expertise in complex financial cases that involve business interests, trust assets, and personal injury settlements. Her strategic litigation style and ability to foster robust client relationships have made her a respected name in the field.
Beyond her legal practice, Maisie has actively contributed to the professional development of junior colleagues, guiding their technical growth and ensuring the advancement of her team. She also brings a valuable professional network developed through longstanding relationships with clients and referrers, along with a history of successfully generating new business opportunities.
Her accolades in the legal sector are impressive, having been recognised in national legal directories with titles such as Rising Star and Leading Associate in The Legal 500, as well as being named an Associate to Watch in Chambers and Partners. Most recently, she was shortlisted for the Private Client Rising Star award at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards 2024.
Maisie's appointment is set to bolster a Family Law team that has already achieved national acclaim, having been distinguished as a Tier 1 firm in The Legal 500. Clarion's family law practice offers comprehensive advice on various matters, including Divorce, Civil Partnership Dissolution, pre and postnuptial agreements for high-net-worth families, financial settlements, and dispute resolution following separation.
Based in Leeds, Clarion serves a diverse clientele, including both corporate and private clients, with a footprint that extends nationally and internationally. This appointment aligns with Clarion’s ongoing mission to foster an entrepreneurial environment for premier legal talent throughout the region.
Maisie expressed her enthusiasm for joining Clarion, stating “Clarion has an outstanding reputation for the quality of its work and the strength of its culture. It has always been a firm I admired, and the opportunity to join a team that places such importance on both client care and supporting colleagues was incredibly appealing. I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue supporting clients through complex and often challenging situations.”
Roger Hutton, Joint Managing Partner at Clarion, welcomed Maisie to the team, saying “We’re really pleased to welcome Maisie to the team.
