Chris McDonald appointed as new minister

Chris McDonald MP has been officially confirmed as the new Minister with responsibility for intellectual property, succeeding in this significant role that focuses on the management and enhancement of intellectual property rights in the UK. This appointment follows his previous role as Minister of State for Science, Innovation and Investment, a position he took on in July 2026 across the Departments for Health and Social Care as well as Business, Innovation, Science and Trade.
