Thomson Snell & Passmore has welcomed Tamsin Reader as their new Real Estate Disputes Partner to enhance the team's expertise and service delivery
Thomson Snell & Passmore has recently announced the addition of Tamsin Reader as a Partner in their Real Estate Disputes team. This recruitment aligns with the firm's strategic goals to strengthen its capabilities in handling complex real estate matters. Under the leadership of Mark Steggles, Tamsin is set to contribute her extensive experience in areas such as dilapidations, lease renewals, break notices, forfeiture, and eviction of tenants. She also has a solid track record in residential issues, including collective enfranchisement and lease extensions, showcasing her versatility.
Throughout her distinguished career, Tamsin has catered to a diverse client base, representing investors, developers, landlords, and tenants in both the County and High Courts, as well as the Property Tribunal. Her previous role was at Knights, where she was a Partner in the Property Litigation team since 2022. Before that, she lent her expertise to Coffin Mew and Downs Solicitors, providing her with a wealth of knowledge in real estate disputes.
Mark Steggles, who oversees the Dispute Resolution team, reflected on Tamsin's appointment, stating “It is great to welcome Tamsin to the firm. Over the last few years, our Real Estate Disputes team has grown in both size and experience. In particular, we have built up a reputation for successfully advising on development disputes and property insolvency matters. Tamsin’s expertise will perfectly complement the team, adding further depth and breadth to the specialist advice we deliver for clients.”
Tamsin herself expressed enthusiasm for joining the firm, saying “The firm has an excellent reputation in the market and a dynamic team with a strong commercial mindset, which really resonates with me. I’m excited to be joining the real estate disputes team and look forward to helping develop the specialist work it delivers to clients.”
As Thomson Snell & Passmore continues to expand its Real Estate Disputes team, Tamsin Reader’s appointment is expected to enhance the firm’s already robust capabilities in delivering top-tier legal services in the real estate sector.
