Richardson Lissack has launched a new office in Dubai to better serve clients in the UAE market
Richardson Lissack, a law firm that specialises in complex disputes, investigations, and business crime, has opened its new office in Dubai. This expansion signifies the firm’s effort to enhance support for clients with business interests, investments, and assets in the UAE. The firm already has established offices in London and Manchester, and this move responds to an increasing client base operating across various markets, highlighting the demand for specialist advice in its core practice areas.
The Dubai office comes equipped with significant expertise in handling complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters. These encompass a range of issues, including corporate and financial crime, civil fraud, sanctions, financial services regulation, and disputes involving digital assets. The new location allows Richardson Lissack to leverage its existing experience in advising clients in Dubai and the wider Middle East, facilitating the firm’s natural progression to enhance its capabilities in serving clients with interests in the region.
Supporting the Dubai office are six partners: Managing Partner Ben Richardson, Kim Nihill, Stephen Reynolds, Pete Chapman, Alex Rogan, and Matthew Garbutt. Their collective expertise spans corporate crime, financial crime, civil fraud, financial services regulation, investigations, restructuring, digital assets, and commercial disputes, ensuring a comprehensive service offering in alignment with the firm's established strengths.
Ben Richardson, the Managing Partner at Richardson Lissack, commented that “our expansion into the UAE reflects both the international ambitions of our clients and our commitment to protecting their interests wherever they do business." He further stated that “Dubai is a globally significant commercial centre, making it the natural choice for our next phase of growth." This new office aims to strengthen the firm's ability to provide strategic and commercially focused advice across key international markets, reaffirming its dedication to corporate protection.
The launch of the Dubai office is part of Richardson Lissack's broader growth strategy, indicating the firm's intentions to further develop its team and offerings in response to increasing client demand in the region
