This ground breaking insolvency litigation and financing venture, will be led by Paul Flint, former Alvarez and Marsal Managing Director

In a strategic move, Provenio Litigation LLP has unveiled Optimise, a cutting-edge insolvency litigation and financing solution designed to enhance recoveries for creditor estates. The firm has also welcomed Paul Flint, a seasoned chartered accountant and insolvency practitioner, as the Client Services Director for Optimise.

Optimise functions by providing financial support to insolvency practitioners, enabling them to optimize recoveries. The liquidator or administrator receives an upfront payment and a predetermined percentage of the final recovery on the claim, with all claims managed by the Provenio Litigation team.

Paul Flint, with a wealth of experience as the former Managing Director and Regional Head of Restructuring at Alvarez and Marsal in the North West, joins Optimise in a key leadership role. His extensive background includes decades of offering restructuring advice to underperforming businesses, ranging from owner-managed enterprises to publicly listed companies. Before his tenure at Alvarez and Marsal, Paul spent an impressive 31 years at KPMG.

Mark Goodwin, Managing Director of Optimise, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of the new business. He highlighted Optimise's versatility in handling a wide range of insolvency litigation claims, such as overdrawn directors' loan accounts, breach of contract, breach of duty, transactions at undervalue, preferences, unlawful dividends, wrongful trading, and claims against third parties.

Optimise's approach includes an established partnership with a leading litigation funder, eliminating the delays associated with third-party fund approval and broker fees. This streamlined process aims to maximize recoveries for insolvent estates, a feature appreciated by insolvency practitioner clients and contacts.

Mark Goodwin emphasized the significance of appointing Paul Flint as the Client Services Director, citing his widespread respect within the insolvency sector. Paul Flint expressed confidence in Optimise's potential to disrupt the mature market dominated by a single supplier. The venture offers a high-quality alternative solution, providing flexibility in pricing models tailored to the specific circumstances of each claim.

The Management Board of Optimise comprises Mark Goodwin, Paul Flint, and former Exchange Chambers Chief Executive, Tom Handley. Operating from its Liverpool headquarters, the business has also welcomed Harry Goodwin as Operations Director, further strengthening its leadership team.

As Optimise enters the market, it aims to be a transformative force, offering innovative solutions and a fresh perspective to insolvency litigation, ultimately maximizing returns on legal claims for insolvent estates.
