New leadership for housing management team

Devonshires announces the leadership transition in its Housing Management and Property Litigation team this month
Law firm Devonshires has appointed new leaders for its Housing Management and Property Litigation (HMPL) team, following Donna McCarthy's decision to step down this month after leading the department since 2022. Partners Mark Foxcroft and Lee Russell will take on the roles, taking charge of the firm’s largest department, which boasts a team of over 85. Both Mark and Lee have been integral to the firm, having joined in 2011 and 2015 respectively. Under Donna's leadership, HMPL saw significant growth, doubling its size and expanding its national presence in key cities like London, Leeds, and Birmingham.
Donna reflected on her time at Devonshires stating, “When I first joined Devonshires as a junior lawyer, we were on the cusp of a new millennium. Fast forward 26 years, I have enjoyed a fabulous career but now is the right time for a second career outside of the law.” Although she will transition into a part-time consultant role, she expressed excitement for both her future and that of the firm, adding, “I know is in excellent hands.”
In recognition of Donna’s contributions, Senior Partner Mark London remarked, “Donna is a true force of nature who has contributed enormously to the success of this firm and our clients.” He expressed confidence in the new leaders, stating, “Having had the pleasure of working alongside Mark and Lee over a number of years, I know they are the right people to lead the fantastic HMPL team and I look forward to watching them achieve great things.”
The HMPL team at Devonshires has recently expanded to include 11 Partners thanks to the promotions of Kerri Harrison and Jatinder Bhamber, further solidifying its reputation as one of the largest and most established teams within the sector.
