Leeds law firm invests in talent

National law firm Clarion, has been recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to work in the UK for 2026, marked a significant moment by investing further in the next generation of legal talent. The firm announced that four trainees—Ashleigh James, Mcauly Naylor, Niamh Darren, and Jenna Metcalf—have successfully qualified as solicitors and will take on permanent roles within various teams across the firm.

Ashleigh James will be joining the Family team, having gained valuable experience throughout her training in areas such as divorce, children matters, and financial disputes. She has also contributed insightful articles on family law topics, including cohabitation reform and family mediation. Mcauly Naylor, meanwhile, completed a secondment with a sporting body and will be joining Clarion’s Sport team within Commercial Dispute Resolution. His experience encompasses a variety of commercial contractual matters like broadcasting rights and sponsorship agreements, giving him a unique perspective on client needs.

In the Employment team, Niamh Darren will provide guidance on diverse employment issues, such as disciplinaries and performance management. Through her practical approach and experience in several of Clarion's divisions, Niamh boasts a comprehensive understanding that she will leverage in her new role. Jenna Metcalf will also contribute to the Employment team by assisting with Employment Tribunal claims and crucial documentation such as settlement agreements and employee handbooks.
