MFG Solicitors has announced the expansion of its Corporate team following sustained growth and client wins over the past year
The law firm has reaffirmed its status as a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses, corporates, and private equity-backed enterprises throughout the West Midlands. The Corporate team has grown significantly and now includes five partners and nine other legal professionals, thanks to a series of high-profile senior appointments. Clare Lang, partner and Head of Corporate, leads the diverse group that recently welcomed four new members: Matt Smith, Philip Chapman, Nick Little and Sophie Thornton.
These additions bring valuable expertise across key sectors including manufacturing and engineering, the circular economy, aerospace and defence, professional services, and technology. The team is dedicated to advising a broad range of clients on mergers and acquisitions, succession-driven exits, private equity-backed transactions, and corporate restructurings. Recent significant work has included guiding the transition of Grapetree Foods to employee ownership, facilitating the sale of The Secret Garden School, handling Parker Precision Engineering's sale, as well as investments and acquisitions, such as Play Revolution and Waterloo Hire.
Clare Lang said “We have built significant momentum over the past year, growing not only the size of our team, but also the breadth of work we are undertaking for clients. The additional experience within the team, combined with our sector focus, means we are well placed to support businesses across the region and nationally.”
The firm’s proactive approach in fostering a team equipped with diverse expertise highlights its commitment to client service, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs in an ever-evolving market environment.
