JAILED PARTNER SUED

Guide Dogs, the British Heart Foundation, the National Trust, Yorkshire Cancer Research and The Church of England are suing jailed former solicitor Linda Box in an attempt to recoup money she stole from their benefactors. Box stole almost £4m from clients while a partner at Dixon Coles & Gill in Wakefield. An interim hearing in August heard that the charities are also suing another former partner, the firm and HDI Global Specialty, its insurer. The claims by the charities and church are scheduled to be heard in late September. 1 September 2020
