Goodwin advises Capiton on acquisition financing

Goodwin has successfully guided Capiton AG in financing the acquisition of a majority stake in SAPV Care GmbH, a prominent player in Germany’s specialized outpatient palliative care sector
SAPV Care offers extensive palliative medical assistance for seriously ill patients at home, with a dedicated team comprising physicians, nurses, and therapists, focusing on maintaining quality of life and dignity in patients' final phases. Established in Saarland, SAPV Care has significantly broadened its reach, opening new facilities across Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate in recent years.
Capiton AG operates as an independent, owner-managed private equity firm, overseeing a fund volume of €1.6 billion. The firm’s diverse investment portfolio includes 14 medium-sized enterprises, and it plays an active role in facilitating management buyouts and growth financing for established companies. The transaction team from Goodwin was led by Winfried Carli and Daniel Wagner and included contributions from Rebecca Stöcklein, Rina Omura, and Philipp Lauer, all specialists in their respective fields.
