Gateley Legal supports Ranger Fire investment

Gateley Legal has successfully advised Ranger Fire and Security on its equity investment alongside Inflexion to drive growth
Gateley Legal has advised the management team of Ranger Fire and Security, a prominent fire and security services platform in the UK and Ireland. This advisory came in light of a significant equity investment following a majority investment by Inflexion, a European mid-market private equity firm. The investment originates from Inflexion Enterprise Fund VI, targeting the lower mid-market sector.
Ranger provides an all-encompassing solution tailored for businesses, charities, and public sector organisations. The company unites proficient local fire and security providers under one national umbrella, enhancing their regional reputations for excellent customer service through the scale and systems of a larger organisation. This strategic investment from Inflexion will further bolster Ranger's buy-and-build strategy, facilitating the acquisition of high-quality local businesses while allowing for expanded operations that promise a best-in-class service.
This partnership is set to accelerate Ranger’s goal of developing a leading national platform, with an eye on potential expansion into continental Europe in the future. Both management and existing investor Hyperion Equity Partners are set to reinvest significantly alongside Inflexion, showcasing a strong commitment to the long-term growth strategy of the company. Currently, Ranger boasts 25 acquisitions across the UK and Ireland, employs over 500 staff members, and generates impressive revenues exceeding £75 million.
Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, expressed, “The investment by Inflexion is a strong endorsement of our strategy and the momentum we have built. With their support and expertise, we can accelerate our plans, scale faster and continue building a leading one-stop shop for fire and security services. My thanks to Ryan and the Gateley Legal team who have been exemplary throughout this transaction, and we were delighted to have had their support.”
The Gateley Legal team, led by Legal Director Ryan Brown, included Partner Martin Montgomery, Solicitor Nick Holder, and Legal Director Helen Webster. Ryan Brown remarked, “We thoroughly enjoyed playing a part in this standout transaction. It was a pleasure to support Mark, David, Ian and their impressive team and we look forward to following Ranger’s continued success.”
