The listed firm saw a dip in share value after the attack
Listed law firm Gateley suffered a cyber attack which resulted in the loss of “approximately 0.2 per cent” of the company’s data, including client data, and a dip in shares. In a statement to the stock exchange, Gateley said the incident had been quickly identified and systems secured. Gateley said “necessary authorities and regulators, including… the Information Commissioner's Office” had been notified. It said there was no evidence the data had been further disseminated, but the firm would “contact anyone affected” in due course.
