Funding round fuels Agora Labs' growth

Agora Labs secures €4.3 million investment to enhance international expansion and AI solutions in healthcare
Agora Labs S.r.l., an innovative Italian start-up focused on artificial intelligence solutions for clinical data management, has successfully closed a €4.3 million funding round led by P101, with contributions from the Mussetto family through their investment vehicle Infinite Five. Fieldfisher and Grillo&Partners were the firms providing legal advice throughout the transaction, ensuring smooth negotiations and structuring.
Agora Labs has developed a platform that allows for the processing and utilisation of clinical data while maintaining patient confidentiality. The unique technology enables healthcare institutions to conduct research without transferring sensitive health information outside their facilities. Born from a European research project initiated in 2017, Agora Labs emerged as a commercial entity in 2023 and currently collaborates with approximately 50 healthcare facilities globally, including prestigious institutions like Harvard Medical School and San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.
This recent funding round represents a pivotal step in Agora Labs’ ambition for international growth. The investment will aid in the company’s consolidation within both the European and American markets, support its entry into strategic new territories such as the Middle East and India, and bolster its sales and technical teams, with plans to hire around 20 new employees.
Fieldfisher's team for this deal included partner Niccolò Massimo Gruppi and associate Lorenzo Gherardi, while Grillo&Partners was represented by partners Corrado Grillo and Roberto Pellegrini. Their collective expertise covered all aspects of the transaction from initial structuring through to the completion of the funding round. Notarial services were provided by Studio ZNR in Milan, ensuring all legal requirements were meticulously addressed throughout the process.
