Enhancing their contentious probate team's expertise and services

Leading Yorkshire law firm, LCF Law, is proud to announce the addition of Kelly Gilbert, an experienced contentious probate solicitor, to its Disputes team. With over 15 years of expertise, Kelly comes from Lupton Fawcett, bringing a wealth of knowledge in disputes related to wills, trusts, and inheritance provision. She has also successfully completed the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) course, highlighting her commitment to continuous professional development.

Based in the firm's Bradford office, Kelly will collaborate with LCF Law partner and disputes specialist, Ragan Montgomery, and solicitor Catherine Schofield in further establishing the firm's reputation in the intricate field of contentious probate.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Kelly stated, "Joining LCF Law is an opportunity to further my career at a firm that is widely recognised as a leading employer in Yorkshire and beyond. Working alongside Ragan and Catherine, who have a formidable reputation in the field of contentious probate, is also an exciting prospect, and I'm looking forward to working with them."

Ragan Montgomery, emphasizing the growing significance of contentious probate, said, "In recent years, contentious probate has become a significant area for us. This is partly down to an increase in the number of challenges being made to wills, which is often due to more complex family structures and blended families, as well as an aging population, where mental health and whether people have the capacity to make decisions come into play."

Montgomery highlighted Kelly's valuable experience, particularly in inheritance provision claims, stating, "Kelly's experience in this field will enable us to enhance our services and expertise to clients throughout the UK. Crucially, Kelly has a solid track record working across all areas of contentious probate, especially when it comes to inheritance provision claims, where people have been left with very little or even nothing in a will. She's a very welcome addition to our team."

With this strategic addition, LCF Law is poised to strengthen its position in providing comprehensive and expert services in the challenging domain of contentious probate, further solidifying its commitment to client satisfaction and legal excellence.
