Committee launches inquiry into social housing finances and sustainability

Review will assess the financial pressures facing social landlords

The Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee announced on 28 March, the launch of a new inquiry into social housing finances and sustainability. The Committee will review the financial pressures facing social landlords in England and the resources needed to meet any relevant challenges. This latest inquiry follows the publication of the Committee’s Regulation of Social Housing report in July 2022, which assessed the condition of social housing and found some instances of unsafe conditions.
