CMA legal director
The CMA has appointed a former Reed Smith partner
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has appointed Geert Goeteyn as senior legal director. Goeteyn is a partner in the antitrust team at Reed Smith in Brussels. An experienced competition lawyer with more than 20 years’ private practice experience as a partner, he worked for Shearman & Sterling before joining Reed Smith in 2020. Goeteyn said he was “thrilled” to join the CMA “to ensure competition continues to thrive in these fast-changing times to the ultimate benefit of consumers and society as a whole”.
