ARAG UK Expands Operations Through Merger with DAS UK for Strategic Growth

The merger between ARAG plc and DAS UK represents a strategic move to strengthen their positions in the legal insurance sector. Following completion, a new Executive Management Committee (EMC) for ARAG UK will be formed, pending regulatory approval. This committee will comprise seven members, three from ARAG plc, three from DAS UK, and one from the broader ARAG Group of companies.

Tony Buss, designated CEO of ARAG UK operations, will lead the EMC, with Tony Coram, former CEO of DAS UK, taking on the role of COO. Dr. Renko Dirksen, Speaker of the Board of Management of ARAG SE, emphasized the significance of this development, making the UK the largest operation for ARAG outside of Germany.

Dr. Dirksen stated, "This is an important moment for our Group as we continue to deliver against our strategy for growth and expansion in key international markets."

While both companies will operate separately initially, the long-term vision is to integrate operations under the unified ARAG brand. The merger aims to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and enhance the digitalization of services, providing customers with improved offerings.

The merger follows ARAG Group's previous acquisitions, including DAS UK's branch in the Republic of Ireland in 2019 and the entirety of ERGO Group's DAS business in Canada in 2021.
