Accord Legal Services recommends digital vault

Accord Legal Services and SafeKeep partner to provide legal clients with a secure digital vault solution
Digital vault app SafeKeep has established a formal partnership with Accord Legal Services, making history as the first UK law firm to recommend a digital document vault to its entire client base. Under this new agreement, Accord Legal will actively advocate for SafeKeep to its approximately 100,000 clients, including those connected to Police Federations, NHS organisations, and educational sectors. Many individuals in these professions might struggle to organise their essential affairs, yet they face the same risks of sudden death or incapacity as anyone else. For many, preparing a will or a lasting power of attorney has been postponed indefinitely.
SafeKeep was created to address the significant challenge that people face in managing and transferring critical personal documents. Functioning as a secure digital filing cabinet, SafeKeep enables users to store and organise important documents like wills, LPAs, insurance policies, trusts, and driving licences all in one central location. Its AI capabilities are engineered to flag expiring documents, incomplete wills, and missing LPAs, which prompts users to take proactive measures before issues arise. The loss of organisation can lead families to spend months or even years trying to locate policies and contest probate or apply for court of protection orders. SafeKeep aims to prevent such distress and chaos.
This partnership comes at a critical time when the legal sector faces increasing pressure to assist clients in getting their affairs in order. Alarmingly, nearly 60% of UK adults still do not have a will, meaning millions of families could lose control over their financial matters without any legal recourse in place.
Andrew Byres, co-founder of SafeKeep, said “Accord Legal didn’t just want to add another feature for their clients, they wanted a genuine solution to a problem their clients face every day. That alignment is exactly why this partnership works. We’re proud to be the first app of this kind formally recommended by a UK law firm. We’re in conversations with others who see the same opportunity, helping clients protect the documents that matter most, before a crisis forces the issue.”
Sarah Williams, CEO of Accord Legal Services, added “We see what happens when families are left without documents in order. It creates distress at the worst possible moment. Our clients are police officers, nurses and teachers, people who understand exactly what’s at stake and yet many haven't taken the steps they need to. SafeKeep removes a lot of the complexity and we are recommending it because it works”
