VEXATIOUS CONDUCT

Former solicitor Anal Sheikh lost 31 cases before being struck off. An indefinite 'all proceedings' civil restraint order has been imposed on Sheikh by the High Court following an application by the Attorney General. In his judgment, Lord Justice Coulson noted that Sheikh had accused a High Court judge of impersonating her; the Law Society of committing banking fraud; and alleged that an appeal judge and two lord chief justices were guilty of conveyancing and mortgage fraud. Sheikh was struck off the roll in 2009 for dishonesty following a 15-day contested hearing. 20 June 2019
