Venus Legal invests in future talent

Venus Legal has welcomed law graduate Esther Abena Dansoa Amoako, strengthening its commitment to developing legal talent
Boutique litigation firm Venus Legal, based in Manchester, is continuing its commitment to talent development by appointing law graduate Esther Abena Dansoa Amoako as a Paralegal. This addition is part of the firm's strategic growth as it expands its presence nationally, enhancing its capacity to handle complex litigation cases effectively. Over the past year, Venus Legal has doubled its team while maintaining a 100 per cent employee retention rate, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing a supportive work environment.
Esther Amoako arrives at Venus Legal with a First-Class LL.B. from the University of Buckingham and an LL.M. with Distinction obtained in Manchester. With aspirations to qualify as a solicitor, she exemplifies the firm’s dedication to attracting high-calibre individuals who aspire to make a meaningful contribution to society through law. Founder and CEO Lorna McGlone believes Esther’s qualities perfectly align with the firm’s values as she stated, “Esther is a fantastic addition to our team and brings exactly the qualities we value at Venus Legal - ambition, determination, compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference.”
The firm is particularly focused on large-scale group litigation, personal injury cases, and military claims, and nurses a vision of advancing its expertise in these areas. “As we continue to grow, our focus is on developing our specialist expertise and ensuring we have the right people in place to support our clients,” McGlone added. Esther's unique journey into law was sparked by a childhood experience of watching a film portraying women denied legal representation, fuelling her lifelong ambition to advocate for others.
Outside the realm of law, Esther is deeply involved in community outreach, serving as Head Coach for girls’ football and a youth dance instructor. Her background in sports and fitness, epitomised by her victory as ‘Miss Fitness Africa’ in 2017, further illustrates her commitment to personal growth and inspiring others. “Joining Venus Legal is an exciting next step. What particularly attracted me was the firm's commitment to people, both in the work it does for clients and the opportunities it creates for its team,” she remarked on her new role.
Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, Venus Legal places significant emphasis on recruitment and professional development. The firm’s investment in structured training and mentoring aligns closely with its mission of delivering exceptional client service, rooted in a philosophy that values people above all. Esther’s appointment will undoubtedly contribute to the firm’s dynamic growth and commitment to making a positive impact on clients and the community alike
