New awards to focus solely on standards of service received during the home-moving process

The ESTAS Group, which runs the largest award scheme for the estate agency industry, has launched a brand new set of awards for the conveyancing sector.

The awards' founder, Simon Brown, explained that The ESTAS Conveyancer Awards will follow the same format as the ESTAS Estate Agent Awards, which recognise the best agents for customer service based on ratings from thousands of customers around the UK.

This year's ESTAS agent awards received 30,000 votes from clients. The competition enables agents taking part to gain valuable transparent feedback from clients, enabling them to improve their services for the future.

'The awards will be unique as winners will be determined purely on customer feedback,' said Brown. 'Winning one will demonstrate a conveyancer's commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service and provide them with an incredibly powerful marketing message. At the same time we'll provide valuable client feedback data and other marketing benefits for all conveyancing firms taking part.'

Entry to the competition is now open. There are categories for single branch firms, regional groups, and national firms, as well as a special 'People Awards' category recognising individual members of staff, again based on customer feedback.

The inaugural awards ceremony will take place on 3 October 2017 at Grosvenor House in London. The event will be hosted by ESTAS brand ambassador Phil Spencer (pictured).

Spencer, the UK's best-loved TV property expert, said: 'Taking part in the ESTAS sets firms apart from their competitors. It sends a clear message that they are passionate about customer service, prepared to go that extra mile for their clients, and keen to listen to feedback.

'The ESTAS help firms to focus on service levels and raise standards across the property sector that we all work in.'

Benefits to conveyancers start as soon as they register, providing access to a suite of marketing tools and a service-themed social media programme, as well as customer service performance reports for all firms taking part.

Maud Rousseau, group marketing director at SearchFlow, said: 'We believe that these awards will become the benchmark for customer service in the conveyancing sector, which is why, as the leading provider of conveyancing search solutions, SearchFlow will headline sponsor the competition and awards, demonstrating our own commitment to deliver excellent service and working with conveyancing firms with a like-minded approach.'

Solicitors Journal is supporting the awards as its official media partner. SJ's deputy editor, John van der Luit-Drummond, said: 'Delivering quality customer service in the conveyancing sector is incredibly important in today's market and we hope The ESTAS Conveyancer Awards will help to raise the already high service standards across the industry and reward those firms that go above and beyond for their clients.

'The practice of conveyancing is changing and those quick to adapt and offer excellent client service will be the ones to reap the rewards.'
