BCLP reinforces its London-based EEI Practice Group with experienced partners Kevin Atkins and Matthew Daffurn
International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has made significant additions to its Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure (EEI) Practice Group in London. The firm welcomes Kevin Atkins and Matthew Daffurn as partners, enhancing their capabilities in project financings, project development, and corporate work within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Both Kevin and Matthew bring extensive expertise to the table, advising clients across Europe, the UK, Africa, Latin America, and various developed and emerging market jurisdictions. Their collective experience covers a broad spectrum, including energy transition, renewables, oil and gas projects, extractive industries, defense, petrochemicals, nuclear energy, and electricity infrastructure.
Kevin Atkins commenced his career at Vinson & Elkins, later becoming a partner at Chadbourne & Parke in 2014 and subsequently joining Locke Lord in 2016.
Matthew Daffurn, with 14 years at Linklaters and a secondment at Rio Tinto, became a partner at Locke Lord in 2020. He also co-chaired the firm’s international transactions practice.
Mark Richards, BCLP’s EMEA head of the Energy, Environment & Infrastructure team, expressed optimism about the appointments.
