Stone King bolsters growth with new leader

Stone King enhances its leadership team with Clare Harris as the national head of trusts and estates
Stone King has appointed a new national head of trusts and estates to further its ambitious growth plans. Clare Harris brings 17 years of specialised experience in private client work, arriving from Greenwoods where she served as managing partner and chief operating officer for the last decade. Harris stated that Stone King “felt like exactly the right fit” for her career aspirations. Although based in Cambridge, she will oversee trusts and estates teams across the firm’s offices in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and Bath.
“I’ve enjoyed and learned a lot from my time in leadership, but I’m looking forward to getting back to client-facing work,” she expressed. Her focus will be on cultivating relationships with clients, including individuals, families, and philanthropic entities. “I’m also looking forward to growing the practice with a firm whose values and ambition align so closely with mine,” she added. Harris feels confident in the foundation provided by her new team to “build something really special.”
Vicky Brackett, the CEO of Stone King, emphasised the importance of Harris’s appointment. “Clare’s rare combination of sector experience and operational expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow to meet the needs of our clients and communities.” Brackett noted that the firm has already increased its headcount significantly. With talented individuals like Clare joining the ranks, she is eager to see their collective achievements.
Harris’s appointment follows a series of strategic senior hires, including Laura McHugh, an employment partner in Manchester, and partners James Fox and Bernard Ralph in London’s commercial and planning teams. In addition, Jas Bassi has been appointed as Stone King’s new IT director, complemented by the recent addition of four senior HR consultants. These moves solidify Stone King’s position as a leading provider of HR consultancy and investigative support to diverse sectors, including education, charity, and public services.
