SOLICITOR SUSPENDED

By

Sole practitioner Steven David Kinch of SDK Law in West Sussex has been suspended from practice for 15 months having failed to comply with money laundering obligations. Kinch was found to have used the client account as a banking facility and facilitated suspect transactions. The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal said Kinch should have recognised that it was a red flag when he was instructed in an area of work he was not known for practising by foreign nationals. As well as the suspension he has been ordered to pay costs of £5,000. 27 August 2020
