SOLICITOR REBUKED
By Nicola Laver
The SRA has rebuked a solicitor who admitted emailing client data to herself without clients' prior consent. Parminder Kaur Dhillon, a director at Lovell Chohan in Hounslow, said it was an 'innocent mistake'. The information was contained in precedents and templates which she downloaded and sent to her personal email. She denied intentionally accessing or actively removing client data from the firm. Under a settlement agreement with the SRA, Dhillon agreed to a rebuke and paying the investigation costs including SRA costs of £6,607.50. 17 July 2020 Law Society survey will assess how disabled lawyers have fared during lockdown
