Shoosmiths welcomes Ed Nisbet as partner

Shoosmiths has announced the arrival of ECM and Public M&A lawyer Ed Nisbet as a partner in London, significantly enhancing the firm's capabilities in corporate law
Ed Nisbet has joined Shoosmiths as a partner in the firm's London office, strengthening its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Public M&A offerings. With a robust background of 14 years in corporate law, Ed previously worked at Osborne Clarke and specialised in a wide range of complex ECM and Public M&A matters. His expertise encompasses advising public companies, boards, investment banks and investors, and he is fluent in areas such as technology, financial services, healthcare, and energy transition. This focus aligns seamlessly with Shoosmiths' key sectors.

This appointment marks continued growth for Shoosmiths in London, with the firm adding 20 partners since April 2025, including notable hires like IP lawyer France Delord and private equity lawyers Alison Chivers and Tim Nye.
