Caroline Tuck joins Shoosmiths’ Litigation, Risk & Compliance team to bolster its Technology & AI capabilities
Shoosmiths has announced the recruitment of Caroline Tuck to its Litigation, Risk & Compliance team as part of its commitment to enhancing its Technology & AI sector and commercial litigation capabilities in London. Tuck arrives from RPC, bringing with her a wealth of experience as a technology disputes specialist. She has a proven track record in advising major international businesses on high-value commercial disputes, cross-border litigation, and arbitration, with her expertise particularly focused on distressed technology projects, digital transformation programmes, and complex commercial contracts.
In addition to her litigation practice, Tuck has been actively involved in AI governance and legal innovation. Her previous roles at RPC included significant contributions to the firm’s AI Board and Steering Committee, where she helped shape its AI strategy, client offerings, and legal technology products. Tuck's dedication to the field has not gone unnoticed, as she was named a Law.com Rising Star in 2025 and has been acknowledged by Legal 500 for her technology disputes expertise.
Hannah Field, the Partner and head of the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team in London, expressed her enthusiasm for Tuck's arrival, stating "Technology sits at the heart of many of our clients' most significant opportunities and risks, and disputes involving complex technology projects, digital transformation programmes and AI-related issues are becoming increasingly sophisticated.” She further highlighted Tuck's outstanding reputation, remarking, “Caroline has built an outstanding reputation in this space, combining market-leading disputes expertise with deep experience in AI governance and legal innovation. Her appointment strengthens our commercial litigation capability in London and further enhances the specialist Technology & AI support we provide to clients."
Reflecting on her new role, Tuck acknowledged the evolving landscape of technology in business, saying, “Technology has become integral to businesses across every sector, and the challenges and disputes they face are becoming more complex and technically demanding.” She also expressed her enthusiasm for Shoosmiths’ vision, stating, “Shoosmiths’ ambition in this space, combined with its strong technology, regulatory and commercial capabilities, provides a fantastic platform to grow the practice. I’m looking forward to working across the firm to build client relationships and further build its technology disputes practice.”
Tuck's addition to the firm is seen as particularly beneficial in supporting Shoosmiths' 2030 Vision, which aims to consolidate specialist expertise in technology disputes, AI governance, and legal innovation, ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of these increasingly vital sectors in the legal landscape.
