Shakespeare Martineau boosts London leadership

As Shakespeare Martineau advances its commitment to the capital, the national law firm has named commercial disputes partner David Vaughan as the new head of its London office located in The Shard. This strategic appointment comes at a significant juncture for the firm’s London practice, particularly following last year’s relocation to the 19th floor of The Shard and a series of senior partner appointments. In the last 18 months, the firm has expanded its London team with five senior partner hires, enhancing expertise in real estate, governance, and complex disputes.

The office now occupies almost 25% more space than before, providing a modern and agile environment that supports over 160 individuals. This investment aligns with Shakespeare Martineau’s broader strategy of strengthening its presence in key UK business centres, allowing for closer connections with clients and sectors served.

As the new head, David is poised to elevate the office’s profile, deepen client relationships, and foster the ongoing growth of the firm’s established legal offerings in London. He will continue to advise clients on both national and international levels.
