Three quarters of sex offenders' requests to the police for removal from the sex offenders' register are approved, leading to calls for an urgent review. A freedom of information request to 43 police forces by The Daily Mail revealed that in a three-year period just 363 of 1,288 applications to 36 forces were refused.
