Seddons GSC enhances its Dispute Resolution team with the significant hire of partner Peter Ames
Leading West End law firm Seddons GSC has announced the strategic expansion of its Dispute Resolution team with the recruitment of partner Peter Ames. Peter, who previously served as the Deputy Head of the litigation group at Adams & Remers LLP, brings over 20 years of experience in handling high value and complex disputes. His career has involved UK and cross-border mandates across various sectors including finance, technology and communications, insurance, and a myriad of service industries catering to a diverse client base that includes FTSE 100 and international companies, regulatory bodies, and high-net-worth individuals.
In his practice, Peter represents both claimants and defendants throughout all phases of litigation. His areas of expertise encompass a wide array of commercial and financial litigation matters, such as complex and high value commercial disputes, trust and fraud disputes, professional negligence, insurance, and construction disputes.
Commenting on his arrival at Seddons GSC, Peter Ames expressed his enthusiasm, “I am delighted to be joining Seddons GSC at an exciting stage in the firm’s development. Seddons GSC’s Dispute Resolution team combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic and commercially-focused approach, which closely reflects the way I work with my clients. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the firm, supporting clients on complex UK and cross-border matters and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.”
Christian Smith, Head of Dispute Resolution at Seddons GSC, noted, “Peter is an excellent addition to our team. His depth of experience across complex commercial and financial disputes, combined with his proven leadership skills and strong client focus, will further strengthen our ability to support clients on their most challenging matters.”
Peter's appointment is part of a broader strategy for Seddons GSC that has included the recent arrival of Partner Ben Marks and Consultant David Seal in its Residential and Commercial Real Estate teams, as well as the launch of the firm’s Financial Crime practice in January 2026 with the addition of partner Frances Murray.
