RLK Solicitors secures first Chambers UK ranking

London and Birmingham firm RLK Solicitors has secured its first UK-wide Chambers ranking for specialist dispute resolution
RLK Solicitors has secured its first UK-wide ranking in the Chambers UK 2027 Guide, marking a significant milestone in the growth of its specialist dispute resolution practice.
The London and Birmingham-based firm has been recognised in the Dispute Resolution Specialist Firms: UK-wide category, reflecting the development of its litigation practice and the complexity of the disputes handled by its lawyers.
RLK advises businesses, business owners, directors, shareholders and individuals on complex, high-value disputes involving substantial financial, commercial and reputational risks. Its work covers shareholder and director disputes, contractual claims, civil fraud, injunctions, insolvency-related litigation, insurance disputes, group actions and alternative dispute resolution.
The firm has also played a prominent role in Business Interruption Insurance litigation, representing thousands of businesses and leading test cases in disputes with insurers. Its work includes the landmark Salon Gold arbitration, which resulted in a payout for hundreds of businesses in the personal care sector.
Satish Jakhu, chief executive, director and head of dispute resolution and litigation at RLK Solicitors, said the ranking marked an important stage in the firm's development.
“This is a significant moment for RLK. We set out to build a genuinely specialist disputes practice capable of handling complex, high-value litigation and taking on well-resourced opponents.
“To now be recognised by Chambers on a UK-wide basis is an important validation of how far we have come and the quality of the practice we are continuing to build.”
Chris Guy, chief commercial officer, director and head of insurance litigation at RLK Solicitors, said the recognition reflected the work of the wider team and the support of its clients and professional contacts.
“This recognition belongs to the whole team. We have taken on some incredibly complex cases, often against major institutions and insurers, and our lawyers have shown real determination in achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.
“We are hugely grateful to the clients and professional contacts who put their trust in RLK and took time to speak to Chambers as part of its independent research. Their feedback makes this recognition particularly meaningful.”
The firm operates from offices in Birmingham and London, advising clients across the UK on specialist dispute resolution matters.
The Chambers UK 2027 ranking follows another milestone for RLK, which secured its first ranking in The Legal 500 UK 2027 for Commercial Litigation: Birmingham two weeks earlier. The two rankings provide independent recognition of the firm's developing litigation practice and its work on complex commercial disputes in the Midlands and nationally.
