Two more Nightingale have begun operating, at the former Cirencester courthouse and at Stafford’s Shire Hall. This brings the total number of Nightingale courts to 21 (39 courtrooms) but Law Society president David Greene said while this was good news, many more are needed. He said: “The need to boost court capacity in order to minimise footfall and keep court users as safe as possible means swift further investment in Nightingale courts is a necessity.”
