HM Courts and Tribunals Service currently employs a total of 15,713 people at a combined salary of more than £40.5m, according to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in its latest 'Work force management information'. This is dwarfed by the National Offender Management Service which employs 53,763 staff at a salary cost of more than £178m. The smallest bill is from the Legal Services Board which has 35 employees costing £149,271.03 in salaries. The MoJ employs 4,286 people and costs the taxpayer just over £17m in salaries. 26 July 2019
