MODERN COURTS

The Justice Committee has launched an inquiry into the implications of the £1bn package of reforms proposed to modernise courts. The project, Transforming Our Justice System, was outlined in a 'vision paper' published in 2016 but the government has struggled to convince lawyers and court users. 'We are worried about the access to justice implications', said committee chair Bob Neill. The enquiry is open to written submissions until 11 March 2019.
