Mishcon de Reya strengthens its arbitration practice with the hiring of award-winning expert Robert Rhoda
Mishcon de Reya has announced the addition of Robert Rhoda as a partner in its Disputes department. Rhoda is a renowned international arbitration and cross-border litigation expert, recognised for tackling complex disputes across various sectors, including financial services, technology, and energy. Prior to his role at Mishcon de Reya, he led the international arbitration practice of Dentons in Hong Kong and boasts extensive experience in disputes involving Chinese and other Asian parties. Frequently navigating matters seated in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, his Asia Pacific expertise seamlessly integrates with his broader international practice, highlighting his long-standing involvement in cross-border disputes.
Based in London, Rhoda will maintain an active practice in both London and Hong Kong, effectively bridging Mishcon de Reya's offices in the UK and Asia. His arrival marks the eighth partner hire for the firm this calendar year, signalling a robust commitment to expanding their international arbitration capabilities. "Mishcon de Reya has strong technical arbitration expertise, combined with geopolitical and commercial insight," stated Rhoda. In tandem with Rhoda's appointment, the firm has also recently announced the appointment of Bushra Ahmed and Charlote Bijlani as Co-Heads of Disputes in the UAE. Additionally, Margrit Trein has been promoted to Legal Director/Counsel, and Nataliia Bertagna has joined the London team from White & Case in Paris.
