Minster Law launches new serious injury network

Minster Law has introduced PiRPLE, a national network aiding law firms in managing serious injury cases
National personal injury law firm Minster Law has announced the launch of PiRPLE, a new network designed for law firms that prefer not to handle serious injury cases due to various reasons including specialist capability, capacity, funding, and case strategy. This initiative offers a free option for legal firms to access Minster Law’s specialised serious injury expertise through a straightforward, secure digital recommendation process. The system ensures compliance with LASPO, SRA, and GDPR regulations, allowing clients to seamlessly submit their information directly to Minster Law.
Once a case is evaluated and accepted, participating firms have the opportunity to receive a recommendation fee that correlates with the claim’s value. Shirley Woolham, Minster Law’s CEO, expressed that “Many law firms will encounter serious injury cases without necessarily wanting to maintain the specialist capability needed to handle them.” She emphasised that “These claims require significant expertise, resource and funding over several years."
PiRPLE focuses on intermediate and multi-track claims valued from £25,000 to over £1 million, encompassing a range of scenarios including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability, and occupiers’ liability claims. Richard Harwood, Director of Serious Injury Legal Services at Minster Law, highlighted the importance of trust when recommending another firm, stating, “Recommending another firm to a client with a serious injury is a significant decision.”
Woolham further explained, “As a business-to-business law firm, serious injury has been an important part of Minster Law’s growth.” With a team of over 350 serious injury specialists, the firm aims to extend its partnership model to law firms across England and Wales through PiRPLE. The initiative is set to reshape how law firms manage serious injury cases, allowing them to maintain client relationships without compromising on the expertise needed for intricate claims.
