Milberg London appoints Anna Keenlyside

Milberg London LLP strengthens its competition practice by appointing Anna Keenlyside as Of Counsel
Milberg London LLP, a leading consumer class action law firm, has announced the appointment of Anna Keenlyside as Of Counsel to its competition practice. This move is expected to enhance the firm’s expertise in competition litigation and collective proceedings. Anna joins Milberg from Simmons & Simmons LLP, where she served as Of Counsel within the Dispute Resolution and Investigations team since 2021. Her background includes extensive experience in managing complex disputes, particularly in competition class actions at the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).
Prior to her tenure at Simmons & Simmons, Anna worked at Stewarts for five years in their Competition Litigation team. Her legal career commenced at Clifford Chance in London, where she dedicated almost a decade to advising corporates and financial institutions on intricate litigation issues. Notably, her experience encompasses mandates from both claimant and defendant perspectives, having successfully defended BT against a £1.4 billion opt-out competition class action, and represented Waterside Class in collective proceedings against Mowi and other salmon producers in the CAT.
In recent years, Milberg London has emerged as a leader in class action litigation, handling high-profile collective proceedings such as the case against Sony PlayStation and the excessive pricing lawsuit against Valve Corporation. Keenlyside expressed her enthusiasm for joining Milberg, stating, “Milberg is one of the few UK-based firms at the forefront of the consumer collective redress regime, and I am delighted to be joining at such a pivotal moment for collective actions in the UK.”
Natasha Pearman, Partner and Head of Milberg’s Competition Litigation practice, added, “Competition litigation is a core practice area for Milberg, and we are proud to welcome Anna to our specialist team.” She noted that Keenlyside’s expertise across collective actions will significantly contribute to the ongoing development of Milberg's practice. With a strong reputation built since its establishment in 2020, Milberg London has been actively involved in high-profile litigation against major corporations, positioning itself firmly in the realm of consumer rights advocacy.
