Global law firm Mayer Brown has seen record-breaking growth in its UK private equity team after advising on deals worth £8.3bn in the year to 30 June 2022, up from the £3.4bn worth of deals it advised on last year. The increase in deals represents significant growth for Mayer Brown’s UK private equity practice – only established by partners Perry Yam and James West in 2016. The team has grown from two partners to a team of six partners and 20 lawyers.
