Law firm performance

City law firms are “in good shape” but regional firms had a challenging year during 2020, research shows. Crowe’s annual benchmarking survey revealed strong performance across city firms with more than a third increasing their top line by more than 10 per cent and 71 per cent seeing an increase in profit per partner. A quarter of regional firms saw a healthy increase in revenue, but the proportion of firms that ‘shrank’ and saw a fall in their top line grew to 41 per cent.
