The ability to switch off completely from work after a long hard day in front of a computer screen is a truly impressive skill. Many of us, regardless of our profession, will spend the hours between leaving our desks at dusk and smashing our alarm clocks silent at the crack of dawn thinking about what we have to do the next day, or indeed the day after that.
For me, dear reader, the trek from SJ Towers to the warm embrace of home, via overcrowded tubes and delayed Southern trains, is interspersed with researching potential stories for the next day. That research can involve anything from reading embargoed press releases to scanning social media for something I may have missed during the day. Journalism is hardly a standard 9 to 5...
