Knights expands in Cardiff with new office

Knights is moving to a permanent state-of-the-art office at One Central Square to support growth in Cardiff
Knights, the UK’s largest regional legal services firm, is expanding its presence in Cardiff with a new office at One Central Square. Since its inception in the city last summer, Knights has garnered a robust local reputation, swiftly assembling a formidable team of more than 20 professionals from its temporary base at Brunel House. This move marks a significant commitment to Wales, reinforcing the firm’s strategy to enhance its operations and provide clients throughout South Wales with a comprehensive range of legal and professional services.
Situated right across from Cardiff Central train station within the city’s bustling business quarter, One Central Square is set to offer a premium working environment tailored to Knights' growing team. The new office is designed to accommodate over 50 professionals from day one, with plans for further expansion. It boasts first-class facilities and advanced technology, enabling Knight to invest in talent, improve client service, and foster collaboration across its national network.
James Christacos, Regional Client Services Director at Knights, expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating "Cardiff has been an exceptional addition to our business. In a short period of time we’ve built real momentum, have brought together an outstanding team and we are seeing strong demand from clients who want high-quality professional advice delivered with a modern, commercial approach." He further noted that "One Central Square is a perfect fit for our business and our people," adding that it "gives us the space, facilities and visibility to continue building – strengthening our capabilities, continuing to attract ambitious professionals, and delivering an even broader range of services for clients across South Wales and beyond."
Knights’ Cardiff team is diverse, comprising specialists in areas such as Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Real Estate, and Family Law, with more professionals expected to join soon. The firm’s ongoing growth in Cardiff is bolstered by a strong overall performance, evidenced by a recent financial update forecasting a year-on-year revenue increase of 28% to £207 million and profit rising 18% to £33 million.
This relocation is part of Knights’ wider strategy for property development across the UK, as the company aims to build a modern, strategically planned office portfolio to support its expanding team of 1,350 professionals while delivering a premier client offering. Kathryn Cripps, Head of Asset Management at Knight Frank, remarked, "We are delighted to welcome Knights to One Central Square. The building has performed exceptionally well over the past year, underpinned by its prime city centre location, high quality specification and amenity offer, alongside a clear and well executed asset management and leasing strategy. Continued demand from high calibre occupiers highlights the strength of the building’s positioning within the Cardiff office market."
