By joining forces they have created a strong specialist collective redress firm

In a significant development, Keller Postman UK Limited and Lanier, Longstaff, Hedar & Roberts LLP have merged to establish a specialised collective redress law firm, now named KP Law Limited. This strategic union positions the new entity as a formidable force in handling large-scale consumer claims, covering product liability, workers' rights, data breaches, privacy concerns, investment fraud, financial product mis-selling, and competition law.

Andrew Nugent Smith, formerly Managing Partner of Keller Postman UK, assumes the role of Managing Partner at the newly formed KP Law Limited. Tom Longstaff and Duncan Hedar will serve as Partners, taking on pivotal roles as Head of Product Liability and Head of Competition, respectively. The merged firm will also collaborate on cases with The Lanier Law Firm in the US, led by renowned trial lawyer Mark Lanier.

Keller Postman UK's track record includes resolving claims against Volkswagen, Uber, British Airways, Ticketmaster, and Equifax. Ongoing cases involve diesel emissions claims against Mercedes and Vauxhall, equal pay disputes with major UK supermarkets, and numerous large group actions. KP Law Limited will also continue pursuing claims against talcum powder manufacturers initiated by Lanier, Longstaff, Hedar & Roberts, with several additional group actions in the pipeline.

Mark Lanier expressed enthusiasm for the merger, emphasising its significance in developing international collaborations. Andrew Nugent Smith highlighted the expanded expertise in product liability and competition law, complementing existing practices. Tom Longstaff welcomed the opportunity to join forces with Keller Postman UK, leveraging their established position in the collective redress landscape.
