Jus Mundi enhances global legal access

Jus Mundi’s inaugural Mission Report details efforts to improve legal knowledge and ethical AI practices
Jus Mundi has taken a significant step in advancing global justice with the release of its first Mission Report. This report emphasises the company's commitment to enhancing access to legal knowledge, promoting ethical AI practices, and increasing free legal access for practitioners in lower-income countries. Since its inception, Jus Mundi has focused on dismantling barriers to legal information, formalising its mission within the company’s legal framework in 2023. This structure aligns with its designation as a Société à Mission in France, similar to B-Corp certification in the USA.
The Mission Report also serves as a public accountability statement, inviting scrutiny from legal professionals and stakeholders. Important achievements highlighted in the report include serving over 12,500 legal professionals across more than 190 countries through its platform, joining the EU AI Pact to promote responsible AI governance, and collaborating with 90+ institutions to enhance transparency. Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder, remarked that “legal knowledge should be accessible to everyone—not just those who can afford it”, indicating that the mission requires tangible actions and accountability.
The Mission Committee ensures jus Mundi's commitments are met, with member Lise Alm stating, “Our role is to ensure that Jus Mundi’s mission isn’t just a vision but a measurable reality.” This approach focuses on setting clear goals and tracking progress to expand access to legal information and promote justice worldwide.
