Jodie Wildridge appointed R3 Yorkshire chair

Jodie Wildridge has taken on the role of chair for R3 Yorkshire, advancing the interests of professionals in the region
Jodie Wildridge, a specialist in insolvency and commercial litigation at Kings Chambers, has been appointed as the new chair of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, for the Yorkshire region. Previously serving as vice chair, Jodie will advocate for the interests of the county’s restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency professionals both regionally and nationally. She aims to support R3’s initiatives, which include a programme of conferences and events.
Recognised by Legal 500 as a Rising Star in Company and Insolvency Law, her expertise encompasses company and shareholder disputes, high-value Companies Act claims, and professional negligence litigation. Her practice is actively engaged in advisory and drafting activities alongside court work. Jodie succeeds Dave Broadbent, who had held the chair since 2024, assuming this leadership role at a challenging time as businesses face increasing pressures from rising fuel and energy costs, alongside a reported 7% rise in corporate insolvencies in March, according to the government’s Insolvency Service.
In regard to her recent appointment, Jodie expressed, “It’s an honour to be taking on this role and building on the fantastic progress made by my predecessor, Dave. I look forward to supporting the county’s restructuring and insolvency professionals and ensuring their views and opinions are heard and represented both here in Yorkshire and from a national perspective too.”
Caroline Sumner, CEO of R3, remarked, “I’m pleased to welcome Jodie as R3 Yorkshire chair. Jodie brings significant experience and understanding of the challenges facing businesses across the region. At a time of ongoing economic uncertainty, R3 members play a vital role in helping businesses and individuals to navigate financial difficulties and achieve the best outcome.”
Kings Chambers, recognised as one of the UK’s leading sets of civil barristers, operates from buildings in Leeds, Manchester, and Birmingham. The set houses over 125 barristers, including 21 King’s Counsel. R3 serves as the trade association for the UK’s community of restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency professionals.
