Industry turnover dips

The year ahead will determine the resilience of the sector against upcoming headwinds – Julie Norris, Kingsley Napley
UK legal industry turnover was £3.23bn in January, a decline of 16 per cent from December, in line with typical annual trends, according to ONS data. Kingsley Napley regulatory partner Julie Norris said: “Although the sector saw a dip this month, this is not necessarily worrying given the annual trend; the industry can still boast the largest January turnover on record. The year ahead will determine the resilience of the sector against upcoming headwinds which will impact firms and their clients including inflation and the effects the war in Ukraine.”
