Hugh James enhances its real estate finance team with the appointment of David Marshall as partner
Hugh James, the Welsh-headquartered law firm, has further strengthened its real estate finance offering with the recent appointment of David Marshall as Partner and Head of Real Estate Finance. Operating from the firm’s Cardiff office, David will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Commercial Property and Banking and Finance teams to provide comprehensive support for clients involved in complex lending and property transactions.
With over 20 years of experience in real estate finance, David has advised a diverse range of lenders, including major high street banks and specialist funders, on both development and investment finance transactions. His extensive expertise encompasses all areas of real estate finance, having managed several high-value transactions throughout his illustrious career. David’s appointment underscores the firm's commitment to enhancing its commercial property and banking capabilities, thereby improving its ability to offer a fully integrated service to clients.
The announcement comes as Hugh James seeks to expand its presence in London, particularly following its acquisition of Howat Avraam Solicitors. Additionally, the firm’s Banking and Finance team has secured a reappointment to Metro Bank’s legal panel via a competitive tender process.
