Tom Gauterin is an exceptionally skilled private client and tax lawyer with 19 years of post-qualification experience and is a Chartered Tax Advisor. In addition, he possesses considerable expertise in charity law. His career includes noteworthy positions at prominent UK firms such as Smith & Williamson, Taylor Wessing, and Burges Salmon. During his time in the industry, Tom has built a solid reputation for advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on complex UK and international tax and succession planning matters.

His extensive expertise covers various areas, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, estate and succession planning, domicile and residency issues, multi-jurisdictional estate strategies, family investment companies, private equity tax planning, and complex governance arrangements. With this depth of experience and technical knowledge, Tom will significantly strengthen Goughs' ability to provide highly tailored advice to clients with sophisticated private wealth needs.
