Freeths has appointed Sophie Fulwell as a Director to strengthen its national Employment team in Liverpool
Leading law firm Freeths recently announced a significant enhancement to its national Employment team with the appointment of Director Sophie Fulwell to its Liverpool office. With over 16 years of post-qualification experience, Sophie will concentrate on developing and expanding Freeths’ employment practice in Liverpool, while also collaborating with her colleagues across the national team.
Sophie brings a wealth of experience, advising employers from various sectors, including financial services, technology, education, retail, and leisure. Her expertise encompasses employment considerations in corporate and commercial transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, investments, IPOs, and outsourcing projects. Furthermore, she has extensive experience in large-scale HR projects, including restructures, redundancy exercises, and business transformations.
On a day-to-day basis, Sophie assists clients with employee lifecycle matters, which involve drafting contracts of employment, senior service agreements, and offering guidance on post-termination restrictions and business protection strategies. Additionally, she represents employers and senior executives in complex employment tribunal claims, including issues related to whistleblowing, discrimination, and constructive unfair dismissal.
